Craster Harbour.
Craster is a small fishing harbour and a very popular
tourist destination, due partly to it's proximity to Dunstanburgh
Castle.
The village is known for the world famous Craster
Kippers which are still smoked in the traditional manner by a local
company.
There is evidence of a previous trade at Craster by
the curious construction at the harbour entrance. This used to be
a loading facility for stone quarried locally - ships would moor
at the harbour entrance to be loaded.
