Photos of Catcleugh Reservoir, Redesdale, Northumberland
These photos were taken at Catcleugh Reservoir which is in Redesdale beside the A68 road just south of Carter Bar.
Built at the end of the 19th century, most people speed past Catcleugh Reservoir on their journey north or south knowing nothing of it's history.
During construction works a special railway was built from West Woodburn Station on the Wansbeck Railway Line, to carry materials and labour to the site. Little or no trace of the line now remains.
The photos may take a while to load depending on your connection speed.
