This magnificent stone bridge crosses the River Wansbeck near Wallington Hall.
Further upstream from Wallington Hall, in contrast - a small wooden foot bridge.
The River Wansbeck is reduced to a stream at this point.
Here it is crossed by a ford for farm traffic and livestock.
At Kirkwhelpington an old stone bridge carries the road across the
