These photos were taken at Newbiggin along the Bay and around the Church Point in January 2006.

One of the Beacons. There are four of these two at the coast and two further inland.
Ships used them during speed trials - lining up the two north and then south
formed a measured mile. On the beach a tractor with a load of sea coal.
